Brother Petros and Able find Esther and Schera in a hotel run by a former ally from Esther's resistance days. This book hit both of those marks for me. Miceral accepts Farrell's use of magic, even though he has some misgivings. This book details most of Europe with the exception of the Balkans and western Russia which i suspect will be covered in Shadows of Asia. I've got the 2nd ed.. Started the series, got completely sucked in. It is clear that author was a smoker and he knows what he is taking about when describing the process of quitting with all its side effects. To be sure, the bulk of the book is on the earlier and middle periods. Biblical background of ALL tithe scriptures and the Christian's proper relationship to them. It's enough to make him wonder if what happens in Vegas really has to stay there."
