As a student and a poet, I was first introduced to Meena Alexander when I was reading an example of what to expect on an Ap test (in English). Sometimes these books work as picture books when the pictures are somehow related and are really of the best quality.

Unfortunately, this book meets none of these tests. I WISH I had this book years ago when I was starting my career! I've had to learn a lot of these chapters the hard way! I was also really surprised at stuff I hadn't yet thought of while reading it, even after years of working my butt off in the industry. He puts many events into context, and at least provides one plausible explanation of how these events related and the motivations behind the players. Here is what I liked:
