The very entertaining way in which Tom Wolfe presents his view on their lives and the program stands the test of time, although the book looses (at least) one star due to the at times rather one-sighted comments and conclusions (like in the case of Gus Grissom). This is a great book that I could, and will, read again.. Instead of a mute observer and victim, the authors hope to strengthen the innermost Self so that the voices can be heard, not denied; heeded without dominating.
Like much written from a Jungian perspective, I found this book both frustrating and helpful. the trails near el chalten are well marked with signs and have directions. Rather than explain, line by line, what each command does/means so that you can use it for your own purposes, he just gives you an example procedure and tells you what it does.
