He has one problem, military courtesy has a Lieutenant Colonel addressed as "Colonel" not "Lieutenant-Colonel". Although I do enjoy erotica, I'm not sure such depictions were necessary in this story. Lawrence (Larry) Durrell was Public Relations Officer for the British Government on the island colony of Cyprus. But this is really more an exercize in documenting than anything else. When reading this book a highlighter is essential!
