Michael R. Speegle is currently the Department Chairman of Process Technology, Instrumentation and Electrical Technology at San Jacinto College in Pasadena, Texas. He holds a master's degree in biology from the University of Texas at Arlington, and has worked for 18 years in the petrochemical and refining industry in various roles. Retired from BP-Amoco, Speegle completed three oil and gas internships sponsored by BP to enhance the teaching of oil and gas exploration and production. He is also the author of several books and articles in the field and co-authored two textbooks for analyzer technicians. Speegle is a member of the Gulf Coast Process Technology Association and has received a certificate in oil and gas production from the Center for the Advancement of Process Technology.
funnier. Truly enjoyed this book. I read the book in one sitting. Written by a leader in the optimization of engine design for modern conditions. I highly reccommend it! You wont be dissapionted. Interesting for a geneticist to see the application of genetic evolutionary algorithms to the evolution of complex mechanisms - who knew that evolution apples to internal combustion engines as well as to organic organisms!. Even if you aren't attending college but just need a good runthrough on various systems in the industry, I highly recommend this book.. wish i had passed on this one. This works out perfectly for the Process Technology programs offered at Universities (I'm a PRT student so this book was a necessity for me). I really enjoyed this book. As a Nurse and a Vermonter I found this book to be so true of the Vermont I know and our blessed health care providers. Great read!. Being a retired rual area registered nurse, I appreciate the humor.. Wonderful to be such a gifted surgeon.. E
