John Benton holds a science doctorate from the University of Sussex and is co-pastor of Chertsey Street Baptist Church, Guildford, Surrey. He is Managing Editor of the monthly newspaper, Evangelicals Now. He is married to Ann, who is also an author, and with whom he has jointly written a number of books. They have three sons and a daughter.
The author works in Jungian concepts of archetype and shadow and seems to assume familiarity with them. This book fits into homosexual history but is broader in contexst than that as it is truly the history of same-sex relations, including sexual, but also including friendship and mentoring and sometimes comibinations of all three. I recommend this book to kids who do not like scary stories, but weird stories which can be predictable yet still have an unexpected twist at the end.. This is a really good book on Christian Theological concepts in a workbook type format. This is a great textbook to understand the claims process. I didn't learn much that I don't already know because I have studied evolution and I'm already on his side. All the book does is merely tell you there is something like Fundamental Analysis, Technical Analysis, etc., but it is too shallow to really learn something useful about all these fields.
