Salute to Black Inventors

It was more of a partnership. Anyone who grew up in wealthy southern Westchester County (Pelham Manor, Rye, Larchmont, etc.) in the 1980s will want to read this book. I'm an instructor and wish our college used this book as their student's textbook as I feel the one we are using is not as easy to navigate. "North Across the River" tells of the suffering of women and children who were captured and forced to leave their homes and travel on wagons and trains to the North side of the Ohio River. Those hoping for lingering passages of Syd's "Crazy Man From Cambridge" antics will be disappointed; instead, many other theories and possibilities are discussed but I won't spoil them here. are out on a job Christmas eve. Once in a while I felt like the story was a bit jumpy, but overall it worked well.
