John Birmingham is the author of Angels of Vengeance, After America, Without Warning, Final Impact, Designated Targets, Weapons of Choice, and other novels, as well as Leviathan, which won the National Award for Nonfiction at Australia’s Adelaide Festival of the Arts. He has written for The Sydney Morning Herald, Rolling Stone, Penthouse, Playboy, and numerous other magazines. He lives at the beach with his wife, daughter, son, and two cats.
Written by a mother and her college-aged daughter, it is full of good advice, funny stories, diagrams and many, many quotes from girls and women.
I like the message that everyone should be at peace in their own skin; that there isn't a perfect way to look. Looking at the chapters it would appear that the content is valuable. I hear she has been into what interest her such as painting, singing and writing songs, which seems to enrich her life.
Consequently, she could never have written such a splendid book if Kenneth and she were undiagnosed or misdiagnosed. It is billed "for the general reader," but has the academic quality of a solid college textbook. 90% of the book boils down to basic transforms and using the charts to calculate results. There are many suggestions, books, and recommendations out there. I love how it includes pictures from real human anatomy.. It was more of a partnership.
